How Much Will My New Registration Fees Be Since Moving?

Question
I have a 2015 Hyundai Sonata that was registered in Concord, California. I've recently moved to Hayward. I'm wondering how much my registration renewal fees will be now that I've moved.

Answer

Your Registration Renewal Fees Will Vary By County

This will affect your registration renewal amount but only if you're requesting your address to be changed on record with the DMV while making your renewal payment. You'll probably want to, so you can receive DMV correspondence, i.e. drivers license renewal notices, subsequent registration renewals, and so on, at your new address.

To get an accurate registration renewal fee calculation we recommend using our free DMV fee lookup tool. Vehicle registration taxes in Hayward (Alameda County) are a bit higher than in Concord (Contra Costa County), so expect to pay just a little more for your Hyundai's renewal. You're probably looking at about a $10-$30 difference depending on the original cost of your registration. Again, the best way to look up your fees would be to use our look up tool. And also don't forget to file a Change of Address online with the DMV or through NeedTags.
